The Yo-Yo Shop was founded in 2015 with a vision of providing a fresh shopping experience with excellent customer service, fast shipping and a vast product selection at great prices. The Yo-Yo Shop is owned and operated by Yo-Yo Player, Professional, and National Yo-Yo Achievement Award Winner Brandon Jackson. We have many years of experience and know what our customers look for and expect in a skill toy retailer. Brandon has been very fortunate to do what he loves for a living which is demonstrating, developing, marketing, and selling toys that bring smiles to kids of all ages.
Since kindergarten he has been fascinated with one of the worlds oldest toys, the yo-yo. At the young age of fourteen his passion for the little spinning toy landed him his first job at a yo-yo kiosk in the local mall. In 2008, after nearly a decade of organizing local yo-yo club meetings, creating videos and organizing local events he was offered a National Sales & Marketing Coordinator position that gave him the opportunity to assist in the development, sales and marketing of yo-yos and other skill-toys for his favorite yo-yo company, Duncan Toys.
Soon after moving to Middlefield, OH from his hometown of Nashville, TN his career took him around the world from nationwide promotional tours to competitions and trade shows in countries such as Germany, Japan, Czech Republic, and the United States. He has performed at retailers, schools, children's hospitals and has appeared on many local and nationwide television networks and programs including the CBS Early Show.
He was presented with the National Achievement Award by the National Yo-Yo Museum in 2012, this award is presented annually to a single individual who’s effort has and continues to successfully improve the sport of yo-yo play and positively influences the industry.
In 2013, after several years of aiding in the development of a corporate alliance partnership with the Walt Disney Company, Brandon was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and was tasked with establishing and managing a new sales and marketing initiative that included developing retail stores to be located at both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts. He was excited for the challenge and moved to Orlando, FL for the new role. In December 2014 Brandon parted ways with Duncan Toys, and founded The Yo-Yo Shop, an online retailer of yo-yos and other skill toys.
